The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today confirmed the conclusion of the tender process for TV and live-streaming rights for the HBL Pakistan Super League (HBL PSL) 2026-29 cycle, marking a historic milestone in Pakistan cricket.
Walee Technologies surpassed the collective reserve price with an unprecedented offer of PKR 26.11 billion, the highest financial bid ever made for media rights in the country.
The agreement covers both television and live-streaming rights across Pakistan, ensuring enhanced coverage and engagement for millions of cricket fans nationwide, while reflecting the exponential growth and brand value of the HBL PSL over the past decade.
HBL PSL CEO Salman Naseer called it “the biggest broadcast deal in the history of not only the HBL PSL but also Pakistan cricket,” highlighting the strategic alignment of TV and streaming platforms and promising innovative enhancements for fans.
Walee CEO Muhammad Ahsan Tahir described the deal as the foundation of a “new digital sports ecosystem,” enabling fans, creators, publishers, and brands to engage in a unified platform, reaffirming HBL PSL’s position as one of the region’s most sought-after T20 properties.
