The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled an experienced panel of 16 umpires and four match referees to officiate the high-stakes Super Eight stage, which begins on February 21 across India and Sri Lanka.
The appointments blend Emirates ICC Elite Panel veterans with emerging officials, ensuring strong oversight as the tournament enters its knockout-defining phase.
The opening clash between New Zealand and Pakistan in Colombo will feature Rodney Tucker and Paul Reiffel as on-field umpires, with Allahudien Paleker on TV duty and Sam Nogajski as fourth umpire.
A blockbuster Group 1 encounter between co-hosts India and South Africa in Ahmedabad will be handled by Chris Gaffaney and Richard Kettleborough, while Alex Wharf takes the TV role and Chris Brown serves as fourth umpire.
Other notable appointments include Adrian Holdstock overseeing England’s fixtures in Sri Lanka, Nitin Menon standing in the England-Pakistan clash, and former World Cup winner Kumar Dharmasena officiating key West Indies and South Africa contests.
With seasoned officials spread across venues from Kandy to Kolkata and Mumbai, the Super Eight stage is set to be monitored by some of the game’s most trusted names as the race to the semi-finals intensifies.
