Teams will fine-tune their combinations and strategies as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 warm-up matches get underway just days before the main tournament kicks off in India and Sri Lanka on February 7.
A total of 16 warm-up games will be played from February 2 to 6, giving fans an early taste of high-intensity action, with 2024 semi-finalists Afghanistan facing Scotland in the opening clash.
Matches in India will be hosted across Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai, while Sri Lanka’s fixtures will take place in Colombo, spreading the action across six iconic venues.
Indian games will be staged at the BCCI Centre of Excellence grounds in Bengaluru, DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, and the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, while Sri Lanka will use the SSC Cricket Ground, R. Premadasa Stadium, and Colombo Cricket Club Ground.
Fans can attend select fixtures in person, including the USA vs India ‘A’ match on February 2 and the India vs South Africa clash on February 4 at DY Patil Stadium, with tickets available at the venue box office or through BookMyShow.
With squads making last-minute adjustments and fringe players pushing for spots, the warm-ups promise competitive cricket and a first look at the stars set to dominate the World Cup stage.
