Netherlands unveil squad for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026

The Netherlands have named a 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, banking on experience as they prepare for the global showpiece. Led by wicketkeeper-batter Scott Edwards, the squad features a strong core of players who have represented the Dutch across recent ICC tournaments and bilateral series.

Head coach Ryan Cook expressed confidence in the team’s readiness, citing their exposure to high-level opposition and conditions in South Asia. Cook noted that the squad’s familiarity with teams in their group, combined with months of preparation and sacrifices from players and staff, has positioned the Netherlands well heading into the tournament.

The Dutch are drawn in Group A, where they will face defending champions India, alongside Pakistan, Namibia and the USA. With depth and variety across batting and bowling options, the Netherlands will be targeting consistency as they aim to progress beyond the group stage.

Having qualified through the Europe Qualifiers alongside Italy, the 2026 edition marks the Netherlands’ seventh appearance at the Men’s T20 World Cup. Their campaign begins on February 7 in Colombo against Pakistan, as Scott Edwards’ side look to once again punch above their weight on the world stage.

Netherlands squad: Scott Edwards (C), Colin Ackermann, Noah Croes, Bas de Leede, Aryan Dutt, Fred Klaassen, Kyle Klein, Michael Levitt, Zach Lion-Cachet, Max O’Dowd, Logan van Beek, Timm van der Gugten, Roelof van der Merwe, Paul van Meekeren, Saqib Zulfiqar.
