Bangladesh came from 1–0 down to clinch the T20I series against Ireland, winning the final match by eight wickets in Chattogram. The home side chased 118 with ease, finishing on 119 for 2 in 13.4 overs, with Tanzid Hasan unbeaten on 55 off 36 balls.
Ireland started briskly, reaching 50 for 1 inside five overs thanks to Paul Stirling and Tim Tector, but the momentum shifted quickly. Mustafizur Rahman and Rishad Hossain shared six wickets, reducing Ireland to 117 all out in 19.5 overs. No batter besides Stirling reached 38, highlighting Bangladesh’s dominance.
Tanzid also etched his name in history, taking five catches in the match, the first outfielder from a Full-Member nation to achieve the feat in a T20I. His five crucial dismissals, including the last four consecutive, swung the game firmly in Bangladesh’s favour.
During the chase, Tanzid anchored the innings with four fours and three sixes, forging an unbeaten 73-run partnership with Parvez Hossain Emon. Their composure saw Bangladesh complete the run chase comfortably with 38 balls to spare, sealing their fifth T20I series triumph in 2025.
Bangladesh’s combination of clinical bowling, record-breaking fielding, and powerful batting ensured a thrilling comeback and a dominant series finish.
