- Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings, Islamabad United extend contracts
- Five original PSL franchises now confirmed for 10 more years
- Multan Sultans ownership still up in the air ahead of 2026 season
The owners of Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings, and Islamabad United have officially renewed their PSL franchise rights for the next ten years, joining Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi in committing to the league’s long-term vision.
Karachi Kings, initially the most valuable franchise in 2016, saw modest growth in their annual fee, now pegged at around PKR 640 million (US$2.3m). Gladiators’ value surged from PKR 187 million (US$660,000) to approximately PKR 690 million (US$1.28m) annually, while Islamabad United’s fee stands near PKR 470 million (US$1.67m), reflecting their market growth over the past decade.
With Multan Sultans’ ownership opting not to extend, the PCB will now need to secure owners for three franchises ahead of the 11th edition of the PSL, scheduled from March to May 2026.
