Bangladesh’s women’s tour of India, scheduled for December and featuring three ODIs and three T20Is, has been officially postponed. The Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed receiving a letter from the BCCI, stating the series will be rescheduled for a later date.
While neither board has provided a specific explanation, it is understood that the rising political tensions between India and Bangladesh played a significant role in delaying the series. The tour was part of the ICC’s FTP and was set to be India’s final assignment before the next Women’s Premier League season.
The ODIs, originally planned for Kolkata and Cuttack, were also set to launch the new cycle of the Women’s ODI Championship for both sides. The postponement echoes an earlier change this year, when India men’s white-ball tour of Bangladesh was moved from August 2025 to September 2026 due to scheduling adjustments.
Both boards are expected to announce revised dates for the women’s series in due course as they coordinate future international commitments.
