West Indies and Afghanistan are set to clash in a three-match T20I series in Sharjah from January 19 to 22, 2026, just weeks before the ICC T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
West Indies, who co-hosted the previous T20 World Cup, reached the Super Eight stage, while Afghanistan made history by advancing to their first-ever semi-final. The two sides have met eight times in T20Is, with West Indies leading the head-to-head 5-3.
Currently, West Indies are engaged in a five-match T20I series in New Zealand, trailing 2-1, while Afghanistan last featured in a 3-0 T20I series win over Zimbabwe in October.
