Hyderabad Kingsmen storm into Eliminator 2 with Dominant Win over Multan

Hyderabad Kingsmen delivered a commanding performance to defeat Multan Sultans by eight wickets in Eliminator 1 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Gaddafi Stadium, booking their place in Eliminator 2.

Chasing 160, Hyderabad made light work of the target thanks to a sensational 102-run second-wicket partnership between Maaz Sadaqat and Usman Khan, who both struck blistering half-centuries.

Usman smashed 64 off 35 balls before departing with victory in sight, while Maaz remained unbeaten on 64 off just 33 deliveries, sealing the chase with 28 balls to spare alongside Saim Ayub.

Earlier, Multan struggled to build momentum after early setbacks, slipping to 52-5 inside eight overs despite a fighting unbeaten 69 from Shan Masood.

Hyderabad’s bowling unit shared the spoils, with Mohammad Ali, Akif Javed and Hunain Shah picking up two wickets each to restrict Multan to 159-9.

With this win, Hyderabad completed a stunning comeback after losing their first four matches and will now face Islamabad United in Eliminator 2 for a place in the final against Peshawar Zalmi.
