- Tanzania to debut; Japan return for their second appearance
The ICC has confirmed the full fixture list for the Men’s Under-19 World Cup 2026, with the 16-team global event scheduled from January 15 to February 6 across Zimbabwe and Namibia. Harare Sports Club will host the final, marking one of the biggest youth cricket events ever staged in the region.
Tanzania will make their historic debut on the world stage, while Japan return for only their second appearance after their maiden outing in 2020. The tournament features four groups: India headline Group A alongside Bangladesh, USA and New Zealand; hosts Zimbabwe join Pakistan, England and Scotland in Group B; defending champions Australia face Ireland, Japan and Sri Lanka in Group C; and debutants Tanzania meet West Indies, Afghanistan and South Africa in Group D.
The top three teams from each group will progress to the Super Six stage, before the top four sides advance to the semi-finals on February 3 and 4 in Bulawayo and Harare. The final showdown is set for February 6 in the Zimbabwean capital.
Matches will be played across five venues: Harare Sports Club and Takashinga Sports Club in Harare, Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, plus Namibia Cricket Ground and HP Oval in Windhoek. Teams will arrive on January 8, followed by warm-ups from January 9 to 14.
Australia enter the tournament as defending champions after defeating India in the 2024 final.
