Ross Adair ruled out of Bangladesh T20Is with knee injury

Ireland suffered a setback ahead of their Bangladesh tour as opener Ross Adair was ruled out of the upcoming T20I series due to a bone stress injury in his knee. Jordan Neill, currently with the Test squad, will remain in Bangladesh as his replacement.

Adair, who struck a blistering 58-ball century against South Africa last year, had shown flashes of form this season with scores of 48, 26, and 33 in recent T20Is. His absence will be a blow to Ireland’s top order, with his next international appearance now likely coming before the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Neill, who debuted earlier this year, missed much of the home season due to injury but returns as a valuable allround option.

Ireland begin their Bangladesh tour with two Tests starting November 11 in Sylhet, followed by a three-match T20I series from November 27 in Mirpur.
