Muzarabani ruled out of Pakistan Tri-Series; Nyamhuri steps in

Zimbabwe have been dealt a major blow ahead of the T20I tri-series in Pakistan as pace spearhead Blessing Muzarabani has been ruled out due to a back injury. Uncapped left-arm seamer Newman Nyamhuri has been drafted in as his replacement.

The 19-year-old Nyamhuri, who has already represented Zimbabwe in four Tests and four ODIs, will now have the chance to make his T20I debut. Muzarabani’s injury comes after he missed the last two T20Is in the recent home series against Afghanistan, where Zimbabwe suffered a 0-3 defeat.

Sikandar Raza’s men will begin their tri-series campaign against hosts Pakistan in Rawalpindi on November 17, followed by a clash with Sri Lanka on November 19. The teams will later move to Lahore, where the final will be held on November 29.
