Chameera & Mishara power Sri Lanka into the final with a six-run thriller

Sri Lanka booked their spot in the Tri-Series final after edging Pakistan by six runs in a gripping contest, thanks to a sensational all-round effort from Dushmantha Chameera and a top-class knock from Kamil Mishara.

Chameera was unstoppable, ripping through Pakistan’s top order with three wickets inside two overs before returning for a nerveless final over, conceding just three runs and nailing yorkers to shut the door on Pakistan’s chase of 184. He finished with a brilliant 4 for 20.

Earlier, Sri Lanka regained their rhythm with a fiery 66-run stand between Kusal Mendis and Kamil Mishara. Mishara dominated the innings with a classy 76 off 48, while late cameos lifted Sri Lanka to a competitive 184 after a sluggish start.

Pakistan’s hopes were revived by captain Salman Ali Agha’s superb unbeaten 63 and a 56-run partnership with Usman Khan, pushing the game deep. Mohammad Nawaz’s late six put Pakistan in sight of victory, but Chameera’s precision under pressure proved decisive.

Despite Salman’s fight, Sri Lanka held their nerve when it mattered most, securing a win they simply could not afford to lose. And with that, Sri Lanka book their spot in the Tri-Series final, sending Zimbabwe out of the tournament. The decider awaits tomorrow, 29 November under the Rawalpindi lights.
