Somerset have confirmed the return of South African allrounder Migael Pretorius as one of their overseas players for the 2026 season. The 30-year-old will be available across all formats, extending his successful stint in Taunton.
Pretorius, who joined Somerset in 2024, has been a consistent performer with both bat and ball, scoring five fifties and taking 58 wickets in 21 appearances. He was instrumental in Somerset’s T20 Blast triumph last season, featuring on Finals Day as the club claimed its second title in three years.
Though yet to make his international debut, Pretorius boasts 230 first-class wickets at an average of 27.50, alongside 61 in List A and 100 in T20 cricket.
