Walee Technologies secures Multan franchise with record PKR 245 Crore bid

  • PCB team auction sets new benchmark as PSL enters a commercial “New Era”

Walee Technologies clinched ownership of the Multan franchise after placing a record-breaking bid of PKR 245 crore at the Pakistan Cricket Board’s team auction held at the Expo Centre in Lahore on Monday (9).

The figure surpassed the base price of PKR 182 crore and became the highest valuation among all eight HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises, following intense competition from Aim Next, Particle Igniter, CD Ventures, and DSM.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi hailed the fair and transparent auction process, stating that growing investor confidence and strong commercial interest signal a major leap forward for the league ahead of its 11th season.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer said the milestone reflects the tournament’s financial strength and expanding global appeal after a decade-long journey, adding that the league now moves confidently into its next growth phase.

Walee Technologies CEO Ahsan Tahir expressed excitement about joining the PSL family and pledged long-term investment and innovation to elevate fan engagement while contributing to the continued rise of Pakistan cricket.
