India stamped their authority on world youth cricket once again, overpowering England by 100 runs to lift the ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026 trophy at the Harare Sports Club.
Batting first after winning the toss, India recovered from an early setback through a blistering counterattack led by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and captain Ayush Mhatre, who tore into England’s bowling to race past 100 inside 14 overs and seize control of the final.
Sooryavanshi produced a once-in-a-generation knock, smashing a breathtaking 175, the highest score ever in an Under-19 World Cup final, while the middle order piled on the agony as India surged beyond 400, finishing with a daunting 411 on the board.
England showed early fight through Ben Mayes and Ben Dawkins, and later a stunning century from Caleb Falconer, but a brutal middle-overs collapse saw them crash from 174/3 to 177/7 as India’s bowlers ripped the heart out of the chase.
Kanishk Chouhan sealed the win with the final breakthrough as India wrapped up England for 311, completing a commanding triumph and extending their legacy with a record-breaking sixth U19 World Cup crown, a statement victory that reaffirms India’s production line of future stars.
