  • #VisitSriLanka campaign to promote tourism globally
  • Three-match T20I series begins 7 January 2026

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced that the upcoming Pakistan Tour of Sri Lanka will be officially dedicated to promoting the government’s ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ programme, launched to support national recovery and rehabilitation following the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

As part of this initiative, all profits generated from the tour will be donated directly to the Rebuilding Sri Lanka programme, reaffirming SLC’s commitment to supporting the nationwide relief effort. In addition, the #VisitSriLanka hashtag will be prominently promoted across match venues, showcasing the country to the global cricket audience and encouraging tourism revival.

The three-match T20I series will take place on January 7, 9 and 11, 2026, with international broadcast coverage expected to give the campaign significant visibility.

The decision was approved by the SLC Executive Committee led by President Shammi Silva, who emphasised the board’s responsibility to stand with the nation during recovery. The announcement comes at a time when sport is being positioned as a platform for unity, resilience, and rebuilding public confidence.
