Pakistan U19 have confirmed their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup, set to be played across Zimbabwe and Namibia from 15 January to 6 February 2026.
Farhan Yousaf, the 19-year-old middle-order batter, will continue to lead the side, maintaining continuity from the team that reached the semi-finals of the previous edition. The squad features one change from Pakistan’s current campaign at the ACC U19 Asia Cup in Dubai, with right-arm fast bowler Umar Zaib replacing left-arm spinner Mohammad Huzaifa for both the tri-series in Zimbabwe and the World Cup.
Right-arm pacer Ali Raza, a standout performer in the 2024 U19 World Cup, has also been retained. Just 15 at the time, Raza’s 4 for 34 in the semi-final against Australia nearly guided Pakistan to a famous victory, having taken nine wickets in three matches.
The upcoming tri-series in Zimbabwe, featuring Afghanistan, Pakistan, and hosts Zimbabwe from 25 December to 6 January, will serve as crucial preparation for the 50-over World Cup, giving the young squad competitive exposure ahead of the global tournament.
Pakistan will aim to build on their Asia Cup experience and past U19 success as they set sights on lifting the trophy in Namibia and Zimbabwe next year.
