Ireland have announced Oliver Riley as captain for the 2026 Under-19 World Cup in Namibia and Zimbabwe, with fast bowler Reuben Wilson named vice-captain of the 15-member squad.
The team will prepare with an eight-day camp in Potchefstroom, South Africa, before two warm-up matches in Windhoek against West Indies (January 10) and Tanzania (January 13).
Ireland are drawn in Group A alongside Australia, Japan, and Sri Lanka, facing Australia on January 16, Sri Lanka on January 19, and Japan on January 22.
Peter Johnston will coach the squad, supported by assistant coach Nigel Jones, as Ireland aim to make a strong impact at the tournament.
The Under-19 World Cup features 16 teams divided into four groups, with 12 progressing to the second round, before semi-finals, and the final on February 6 in Harare.
