Sri Lanka Cricket has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup (50-over format) to be held in the United Arab Emirates. The team departed for the UAE early this morning as they prepare for a competitive Group B campaign against Nepal, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.
Kugathas Mathulan, originally included in the squad, was unable to travel after sustaining a right-side groin injury. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation and will miss the tournament.
In his place, leg-spinner Himal Ravihansa from Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa, has been drafted into the squad to strengthen Sri Lanka’s spin options.
Sri Lanka will look to make a strong statement in the regional tournament as they begin their journey in the UAE.
Sri Lanka will play their group-stage matches as below:

- 15 December – vs Afghanistan
- 17 December – vs Bangladesh
