Head coach Sanath Jayasuriya has shared that the Sri Lankan cricket team and support staff are deeply saddened by the devastating floods and landslides affecting their fellow citizens back home.
In a show of solidarity, the team has decided to donate their tour money and match fees from the Pakistan series to support those impacted by the disaster.
Jayasuriya added that the team plans to do more upon returning home, urging everyone to stay safe, follow guidelines, and care for one another during this difficult time.
He concluded by emphasising that the team is standing together with all Sri Lankans in the face of this crisis.
