Silver-Holmes torments former team as Hurricanes stay unbeaten

Hayley Silver-Holmes produced a dream spell against her former side as Hobart Hurricanes stormed to a dominant six-wicket win over Sydney Sixers in the WBBL.

The Sixers were cruising at 92 for 2 before Silver-Holmes ripped the game open with three wickets in one over, finishing with a career-best 3 for 18. Her burst removed Ash Gardner, Amelia Kerr, and Alyssa Healy, completely halting the Sixers’ momentum and restricting them to 152 for 9.

Chasing 153, Hurricanes openers Lizelle Lee and Danni Wyatt-Hodge made the target look tiny, smashing a record 95-run stand at over ten an over. Lee’s blistering 55 and Wyatt-Hodge’s classy 45 ensured Hobart cruised home with 19 balls to spare.

The win keeps Hurricanes unbeaten, with their explosive top order and Silver-Holmes’ impactful return, making them early tournament frontrunners.
