Litton and Emon star as Bangladesh level T20I series against Ireland

Bangladesh bounced back to level the three-match T20I series 1-1 with a thrilling four-wicket win over Ireland in Chattogram, ending a four-match losing streak in the format.

Litton Das struck his 16th T20I half-century, scoring 57 off 37 balls with three sixes and three fours, while Parvez Hossain Emon provided a powerful start alongside him. Their partnership kept Bangladesh on track in a 171-run chase despite Ireland fighting back through a strong opening powerplay.

Ireland had earlier posted 170 for 6, with Tim Tector (38) and Lorcan Tucker (41) leading the charge. Mahedi Hasan’s 3 for 25 proved crucial, breaking the key partnerships and slowing the chase.

The game came down to the final overs, where Mohammad Saifuddin’s 17* off 7 balls, including a six and two fours, steadied the innings when Bangladesh were six down and still needed 14 from 10 deliveries. Mahedi sealed the win with a decisive boundary in the final over, securing the series-levelling victory.

Bangladesh now head into the final T20I with momentum, thanks to stellar performances from Litton, Emon, and Mahedi in a match that tested their nerves right to the last ball.
