Fixtures, Groups announced for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026

  • Tournament begins on February 7, runs until March 8
  • India and Sri Lanka to co-host across eight venues
  • 20 teams split into four groups for the biggest edition yet

The ICC has officially released the fixtures and groups for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, confirming a 29-day cricket festival co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. The opening day will feature six teams in action, including defending champions India as they face USA in Mumbai.

The tournament will be played across eight venues, five in India and three in Sri Lanka, with iconic stadiums such as Ahmedabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Colombo (SSC & RPICS), and Kandy set to host the world’s best. A total of 40 group matches will run from February 7–20, followed by the Super Eights beginning February 21.

The knockout stage will feature two semi-finals in Mumbai and Kolkata/Colombo, with the grand finale scheduled for March 8 in Ahmedabad or Colombo. India and Pakistan are placed together in Group A, renewing their fierce rivalry on February 15 in Colombo.

Sri Lanka headline Group B alongside Australia, Ireland, Zimbabwe and Oman, while two-time champions England and West Indies lead Group C with Bangladesh, Nepal and debutants Italy. Group D features New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, Canada and UAE, completing a strong, global lineup for the tenth edition of the event.
