- Centuries from Shanto and Mahmudul set up dominant innings
- Murad and Taijul lead the bowling attack
Bangladesh secured a commanding innings-and-47-run victory over Ireland inside four days in Sylhet. Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mahmudul Hasan Joy both struck commanding centuries, while Hasan Murad (4-60) and Taijul Islam (3-84) led the bowling effort.
Ireland, chasing a 301-run deficit, managed some resistance through Andy McBrine’s patient 52 and a 54-run ninth-wicket partnership with Barry McCarthy. However, successive dismissals in the final session saw the visitors bowled out for 254, giving Bangladesh a comprehensive win.
The victory was a team effort with contributions across the batting and bowling line-up, leaving Bangladesh in a strong position in the ongoing series.
