Sri Lanka wrapped up an incredible campaign at the 2025 South Asian Athletics Championships in Ranchi, India, finishing as the overall runner-up with an impressive 40 medals — including 16 golds, 14 silvers, and 10 bronzes.
Sprinter Fathima Shafiya Yamick stole the spotlight, clinching three gold medals while shattering meet records in the 100m (11.53s), 200m (23.58s), and the 4x100m relay (44.70s), leading her team to a golden finish.
