Sri Lanka continued its impressive run in Ranchi, India, by claiming both gold and silver in the men’s javelin throw.
Rumesh Tharanga secured the top spot with a winning throw of 84.29 meters, showcasing power and precision. Close behind, Sumedha Ranasinghe captured the silver medal with a strong effort of 81.62 meters, giving Sri Lanka a memorable one-two finish.
This double victory highlights Sri Lanka’s strength in field events and adds to the nation’s growing medal tally at the 2025 South Asian Athletics Championships.
