Reigning world champions Spain continued their dominance with a 1–0 win over Sweden in the second leg of the Women’s Nations League semi-final, sealing a 5–0 aggregate victory to book their place in the final.
After a 4–0 in the first leg, Spain controlled Tuesday’s match and finally broke through in the 75th minute, when Claudia Pina set up Alexia Putellas for a thunderous finish.
Putellas and Pina, who scored twice each in the first leg, were again instrumental as Spain maintained their unbeaten run.
Spain will now face Germany in the two-legged final on November 28 and December 2, as they chase another major international title.
