Fathima Shafiya Yamick dominated the track in Ranchi, India, claiming three gold medals and breaking multiple competition records.
Yamick opened her campaign by winning the 100m race in 11.53 seconds, setting a new championship record. She followed it up with a commanding 200m victory, crossing the line in 23.58 seconds, again establishing a new competition benchmark.
Her stellar performance extended to the team event, as she helped the 4x100m relay squad secure gold with a record time of 44.70 seconds.
With these three gold medals, Yamick has stamped herself as one of South Asia’s brightest athletics stars, showcasing both speed and consistency across sprint events.
