Sri Lanka added another gold to its medal tally as Harsha Karunaratne triumphed in the men’s 800m at the South Asian Athletics Championships in Ranchi, India.
Karunaratne crossed the finish line in 1:51.96, showcasing endurance and tactical brilliance to secure victory. His performance continues Sri Lanka’s dominant presence in track events at the 2025 Championships.
With this win, Sri Lanka maintains its strong momentum, following earlier successes in sprints and field events, and keeps its athletes in the spotlight on the regional stage.
