The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 semi-final fixtures are officially set following Australia’s emphatic victory over South Africa in their final group-stage match in Indore.
The win secured Australia’s top spot in the standings, booking them a clash with hosts India in the second semi-final on October 30 at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. It will be the first World Cup semi-final meeting between the two sides since 2017.
South Africa, who finished second on the table, will meet England in the other semi-final at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati on October 29. England, currently third with one game in hand, will look to secure momentum ahead of the knockouts.
Australia’s record-breaking win over South Africa came after Alana King’s stunning seven-wicket haul, which helped the defending champions chase down 98 with ease. The seven-time winners remain the only unbeaten side in the tournament, with six wins and one washout.
India, meanwhile, confirmed their semi-final berth after a strong showing against New Zealand and will conclude their group campaign against Bangladesh. England will also wrap up their league phase against New Zealand before the semi-finals. The winners of both matches will meet in the final on November 2.
